I started work the day after I finished exams...crazy, but fun :). With the start of work also came the start of my unofficial summer project - crafting. My project for the first week was to make probe decorations using eraser clay...it was pretty fun, and I even finished early! It hasn't been judged yet, so I have no idea if I passed or not...but I think my chances for this one might be pretty good. My craft for this week is cross-stitch. It's not that hard, but there's NO way I'll be able to finish it in time...there's too much to do! And who the hell knows the difference between dark blue, medium blue and light blue?!? or pink, rose, and dark rose?!? like, HONESTLY people...oh well, it's fun nonetheless. The other big thing that happened recently is that I moved into phase 7 for summer rez. All I have to say is that phase 7 kicks some SERIOUS butt. The bedrooms are AMAZING, the appliances are new, the bathrooms are wicked (there's TWO! and the showers have glass doors!), and the furniture is sooooo much more comfy than in the townhouses. And thanks goodness for sweet, sweet A/C. So, needless to say, it's gonna be quite hard to leave at the end of the summer and go back to townhouses, although they do have their benefits. Well, enough about phase 7...work has been good. I've already started my geotaxis project...ran the first experiment today, and I think it went pretty well...Rachel helped me out a lot today, so I owe her huge for that. I also get to do chromosome substitutions this summer, which sounds really cool...overall, I think it's gonna be an awesome summer. Well, I guess that's it for now...I better get some sleep if I have to go to work tomorrow...<div class="blogger-post-footer"><img width='1' height='1' src='https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/tracker/6005496-108424503967013448?l=monokid.blogspot.com' alt='' /></div>

FINALLY DONE!!!<br /><br />So I'm finally done my third year at UTM...wrote my last exam today, and how sweet it is to be finished. No more classes, no more studying, no more homework...well, at least until September. I just finished today, and I get to start work tomorrow...yay. I wish I had some time in between, but oh well. Work is always fun anyway, so it's all good. I played my double or nothing scrabble bet last thursday...the outcome was more unfortunate than that of the original bet. I lost again, this time by a bigger margin, and it looks like I'll be serving lemonade to the Argos dressed as Mimi at some point this summer. I went shopping with Macarena on Sunday for the official Mimi outfit...we went to Goodwill, and all I can say is that it's HIDEOUS. Should be an interesting day, at the very least. Today, after my exam, I went up to the lab and somehow managed to end up in another bet. I was playing Macarena in basketball, and lo and behold, I lost...what a surprise. I lost the first one, then once again decided to go double or nothing. I thought the terms were that an ugly hat was added to the Mimi outfit for that day...so I figured, what the hell...I'm already gonna look like a tool, may as well add a hat. So I went double or nothing, and lost again. However, I maintain that it was NOT FAIR. Because after, Macarena tells me that in fact what I agreed to was a whole different day of dressing up, which included a new, hideous outfit, and a matching hat. So now I have two days of my summer devoted to dressing up...Mimi, and this other one. I still think it's totally not fair, because that's not what I thought I was agreeing to. Had I actually know that's what would happen if I lost, I NEVER would have gone double or nothing...I would have just stopped. But of course, it doesn't matter what *I* thought, so I have to do it anyway. I think that really sucks, but I'm gonna do it anyway, because I'm not going to wimp out. I think it's mean, but oh well...shit happens. Well, I'm gonna go to sleep soon if I have to get up for work tomorrow...I think that maybe I was a brutal mass murderer in a past life to warrant everything that's happening to me now...probably not true, but an interesting theory...<div class="blogger-post-footer"><img width='1' height='1' src='https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/tracker/6005496-108364052934108276?l=monokid.blogspot.com' alt='' /></div>

GO LEAFS GO<br /><br />Well, today was rather uneventful...although, this IS my third entry in three days...that makes my day somewhat more exciting. I went home this morning to do laundry, and to visit my grandma. It was a pretty good day, but not very productive in terms of studying. Meh...my last remaining exam is stats 107 on Monday, so I'm not too worried. While at home today I copied two of Jason's CD's...Frosh Two and Listen Up Frosh...wicked CD's :D. So I came back to school around dinner time, and ended up going out to Cooper's to watch the hockey game...it was a bitchin' time...hahahaha...that's a great word :). Anyway, the Leafs won, AND I won a cup! They had this raffle during the second intermission, and I actually won something! It's just a cheap plastic cup with a Detroit Red Wings logo on it, but the principle of the matter is that I actually won something...it made me very happy :). After I came home, I watched "Cheaper by the Dozen" along with Marla, Rachel, Steph and Linda. It was a decent movie, made better of course by the presence of Tom Welling...he's really hot :). Well, that about sums up today...it's supposed to be like 20 degrees tomorrow...that would be WICKED, because I really want summer to be here! So I'm gonna go to sleep soon and dream of warm weather... :)<div class="blogger-post-footer"><img width='1' height='1' src='https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/tracker/6005496-108321689586538502?l=monokid.blogspot.com' alt='' /></div>

UNOFFICIAL SUMMER PROJECT<br /><br />Well, it appears as though I have acquired an unofficial summer project at work...while my main project is geotaxis, I have been given a supplemental Arts and Crafts summer project. Due to my apparent lack of "craftiness" every week I will have to complete a new project, which will then be judged...while I would love to explain all the details here, the whole system is much too involved and intricate, and I'm far too lazy to take the time and effort I would need to write it all down. If you want to know more about it, I can explain it to you...needless to say, by the end of the summer I should be able to knit, crochet, and so much more! Well, after spending the afternoon at work and learning about my new project, Jason and I went to Wal-Mart for McDonald's, and to shop for soccer cleats. After hitting up Wal-Mart, we went to check out Metrosport for shin pads...while Jason didn't find any shin pads, I managed to find an Aston Villa jersey for $29!!! It was great! After the soccer shopping excursion, Jason, Julia and I went to Demetre's...I had the old favourite, the Tongue Depressor...mmmmm...so good. Julia and I went to Milestone's after for drinks, where I had a Mojito. It was pretty good, but I still like the ones we made on Scrabble night much better. Well, that was essentially my day...I'm heading home to do laundry tomorrow and visit my grandma, so it should be a good day...but for now, I'm gonna get some sleep :).<div class="blogger-post-footer"><img width='1' height='1' src='https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/tracker/6005496-108312755862078478?l=monokid.blogspot.com' alt='' /></div>

NEW BLOG DESIGN!<br /><br />Well, I've decided to try a little blog redecoration, and this is the result...I think it's pretty cool!! Actually, it was more Marla doing all the "redecoration"...which consisted of her explaining HTML to me and telling me exactly what to do while I sat around and reaped the benefits of a new kick ass blog! Now, I'm aware my last entry was on March 9th, and while I'd love to say I haven't written since then because my new kick ass blog has been under construction, the truth is that Marla and I (again, basically just Marla) did it tonight in about an hour. So, I really have absolutely no excuse for my laziness, and all I can offer is my promise to try and do better...I think I should be able to manage that since exams are over soon, and then it will be summer! And with summer comes lots of spare time to piss away...besides, I'll be living with Linda and Val, so they can make sure I keep up to date :). Anyway, a quick rundown of my life since March 9th...well, it will actually probably just be a rundown of the past week, because I can't remember back to March 9th. Well, let's start from April 17th...I had a scrabble bet going that day, and I lost...which is quite unfortunate, because now I have to get dressed up as Mimi (from the Drew Carey Show) for a day...hair, makeup and all. However, my pride is still somewhat salvageable, because I'm going for double or nothing :D...of course, if I lose that game, then while dressed as Mimi I have to offer lemonade to the Toronto Argos players...I'm aware that making this bet goes against the advice of virtually everyone I know and of course my own better judgment, but oh well...should be entertaining either way :). The night of the scrabble game was also mojito night. I had never had a mojito before, but they are REALLY good...especially if you're using 151 proof rum :P. Despite what you've read so far, the night actually was somewhat productive. I learned how to make quesadillas! And while it is still quite clear that I lack the ability to multi-task, I think my quesadillas were pretty darn good. So I'm not sure when the double or nothing game is going to be played...probably after exams are done...but I'll keep you posted :). My first exam was on the 22nd of April...Stats221. It was a pretty good exam, but I love math, so that was to be expected. In the middle of it there was a fire alarm though, which was a little weird. We all had to take our exams outside and wait for like 20 minutes. Virtually everyone was cheating...it was really weird. But then we got to go back inside and finish...all in all I think it went well. Tonight I had my genetics final. I probably didn't study as much as I should have, and spent most of the day in the fireplace lounge with Paul and Tarrah, talking about stuff that has absolutely nothing to do with yeast genetics, but it was really fun. And, it turned out that the exam was pretty good! I completely made up the last question, but other than that I feel good about it. So now I only have one exam left...Stats107. That's right, I'm taking a first year stats course :D. I needed to fill space in my schedule, and what better way to do it than with a first year stats class? It's not till next Monday, and I'm not too worried about it, so for now, I have a break for a few days...woo hoo! Anyway, the biggest news of the past couple of weeks has to be that I finally got a placement for my forensics 481 mentorship next year. I'm working with the Halton Police! It's really cool, because it's in Oakville, so it's nice and close. My mentor sounds super nice, and I'm really excited...apparently I'll get to go to different crime scenes and stuff...I think it's gonna be awesome! Well, I think that's it for now...I promise to try and stay more updated, and for now all I have to say is GO LEAFS GO!!!<div class="blogger-post-footer"><img width='1' height='1' src='https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/tracker/6005496-108304183413317555?l=monokid.blogspot.com' alt='' /></div>

wow...i am a total slacker...i do realize it's been many, many, many days since my last entry...what can i say, i guess i'm just getting lazy! anyway, everything's going pretty well right now. i don't have too much work for school, which is really nice, and right now we're doing the amazing race on rez! i'm on a team with stacey and lara, and rachel and marla are on another team...steph, linda and esther have a team too. so far it's really fun! you get to go around solving clues and collecting more...and the best part is, you get 40 rez points just for finishing! of course, if you win, you get lots of other cool stuff too :). the murder mystery is going really well too, and it's coming up soon! i think we'll be able to pull it together in time, and it's gonna be really awesome! so this friday my mom is cooking dinner for all the lab peeps...should be a really fun night...however i fear that pictures of me as a baby might come out at some point during the night...that would not be fun at all... oh, and for the record, i'm really bitter about the weather. normally i would be ecstatic that it's getting warmer, but i just shelled out a crapload of money for a new snowboard, and i haven't even gotten to use it yet! hopefully i'll get at least one more chance before winter ends...i would at least like to try it out! i signed up for summer rez last week, and i'm really excited :D. i'll be living in phase 7 with linda, val and brian...should be an awesome house, and i am very thankful that we will get air conditioning :). well, there's prolly a bunch of stuff that has happened since my last entry that i haven't written about, but i just don't feel like it...i'd rather sleep :P<div class="blogger-post-footer"><img width='1' height='1' src='https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/tracker/6005496-107880923339855193?l=monokid.blogspot.com' alt='' /></div>

well, i admit it's been a while since my last entry, but i'll make up for it...reading week is almost officially over. i only have a few precious hours left, but it was awesome while it was here :). last saturday i went up to blue mountain with marla, steph and linda to go snowboarding. i must say, the drive up to collingwood was QUITE exciting. it was kinda crappy weather up in collingwood, and it was snowing pretty hard. so when we finally made it to county road 124, we learned that it was closed due to the bad weather. since that it basically the only way up to blue, we had to improvise a little in order to make it there. we figured out (well, it was mainly linda, she is a really good navigator), that we could drive up 3rd line which runs parallel to county road 124 and cut back over...so we did that, and when we cut back over to 124, it was still closed. so we went back to 3rd line and drove on that until it ended. when we cut back to 124 that time, there were no more roadblocks, so we were finally back on track. well, we drove on 124 for about 40km, and not a single other car was on the road...we began to think that the road was still in fact closed, and we were just driving on a closed road. we finally reached an intersection with a sign in the opposite direction saying the road was closed...oh well, we were just driving on a closed road for a bit...but it all worked out :). but that was not the only excitement for the drive...as we continued up 124, the road was pretty slippery and there was a lip between the edge of the road and the gravel shoulder. well, my right front wheel went off the road, and onto the shoulder. my other 3 wheels were still on the road, and this made things interesting...i began to fishtail, and swerved into oncoming traffic. we were about to get hit by a pickup truck, but i managed to swerve away, and in the process, the car did something like a 540 degree rotation, and we ended up in a snowbank. the guy behind us just drove by and waved!!! it was pretty scary, and i was worried that the other cars on the road would lose control and crash into us while we were stuck in the snowbank. and steph slept through the whole thing!!! well, with the help of linda, marla and steph pushing the car, we managed to make it out of the snowbank and safely up to blue. the day was awesome...i sorta started to learn to turn like a normal person! it was an awesome day, and when we came back, me linda and steph went to see 50 first dates...it was pretty funny :). <br /><br />well, after the excitement of the day of snowboarding subsided, i went home and relaxed on sunday. monday i had to get up early to play in an extramural soccer tournament at UTM...it was a really fun day, and our team won the whole tournament! it ended up being UTM vs. UTM in the final (cuz UTM entered two teams), so that was pretty cool...the UTM team i was on won, and we got free t-shirts! yay for free stuff :D. tuesday night i went to the something corporate show with my friend alison downtown at the kool haus. it was an AMAZING show...they are soooooo good live!!! and i got a t-shirt there, but i had to pay for that one :P. wednesday i went out to corbett's to buy myself a pair of snowpants...i have been borrowing jason's lately to go snowboarding, but i figured i better get my own pair...they're black, really warm and really comfy :). thursday i went snowboarding yet again with people from work...we went up to mount st. louis, and it was an awesome day...they weather was REALLY nice, and it was sooo warm...the only downside was that it was some kind of school day there, so the place was swarming with thousands of obnoxious little kids...for the first part of the day we only got a couple runs in, but by the time we finished lunch most of the kids were gone...we practically had the place to ourselves for the rest of the day! it was soooooo awesome, and i finally learned to turn! i can turn normally almost all the way down the hill!!! i'm still sore, but it was so worth it. friday i slept in and had a nice relaxing day...i went to corbett's again, but this time to look at snowboards :). i found one i really liked, but didn't buy it right then...i thought i should sleep on it, since it's a pretty expensive thing to buy. i had to get up early on saturday for a dentist appointment at 9am, and then i went to corbett's yet again, and actually bought the snowboard i wanted :D:D:D. it is a salomon board, in midnight blue with red detailing, and it's red on the back...i got these really cool looking red bindings, and really comfy boots...it cost a crapload of money, but i think it will be worth it, considering how much it costs to rent stuff every time. i'm soooooo excited and i can't wait to try it out!!! hopefully i'll go again really soon :). anyway, today i came back to school, and i'm just settling in and getting ready to go back to school! phew...that was long, but that's it for now...<div class="blogger-post-footer"><img width='1' height='1' src='https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/tracker/6005496-107748547657721123?l=monokid.blogspot.com' alt='' /></div>

ahhhhhhh so i'm finally done all my tests...for now at least...it's great!!! i had my genetics test and my stats test today...they both went pretty well, and i'm so glad they are over and done with. despite the fact that i had two tests today, last night i went downtown for my soccer game...i can't remember who we played (i think it was nursing), but we played like shit...it was unfortunate. we tied 0-0, but we totally should have won because we were a better team...oh well, we just didn't play well enough. but we'll win next time...we're still technically undefeated :). the murder mystery is coming along well...we finally have someone to be juan valdez! the plot is coming along well, and it sounds like it's gonna be really cool. friday night we went out for steph's birthday...HAPPY 22nd BIRTHDAY STEPH!!! it was really fun...we went out to jack astor's...gotta love unlimited garlic pan bread!! anyway, that's what's been happening lately...i'm all done my tests, which is nice, but i still have a stats quiz on friday, but hopefully it will be easy. tomorrow morning i have a soccer game for my intramural team...i'm skipping my osteo class to go to the game...wooooo! :D and this saturday i'm gonna go snowboarding again! i'm soooo excited...hopefully i won't be as sore as i was last time...it should be awesome! a nice way to start reading week :). and i got tickets to the soco show! i'm sooooooooo excited...it's comin up on tuesday! should be a wicked show...i gotta get a t-shirt :). anyway, i think that's it for now...time to go piss away the rest of the night!<div class="blogger-post-footer"><img width='1' height='1' src='https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/tracker/6005496-107656064362009208?l=monokid.blogspot.com' alt='' /></div>

holy crap! i just realized that i haven't written in my blog for over a week...but it seriously hasn't felt like that long! anyway, the past week has been rather uneventful, but still fun. i went to the pub on friday night to see if i won the trip to the dominican, but alas, i did not...looks like oakville is my destination for reading week. so i went home saturday for food and laundry, and came back saturday night...i went to the play with scott, and it was pretty good. afterwards we watched the leafs vs. sens game...GO LEAFS GO!!! we totally kicked their asses...revenge for our earlier 7-1 loss :(. so then sunday i slept in and pissed away some of the day, then went to a superbowl party...i had the pats to cover the spread, but that didn't happen so now i owe tony a beer...oh well, it was still a good game...too bad vinatieri's such a tool and missed those two field goals early on. survivor started on sunday too, and it was crazy! they don't get any fire, which also means no water, unless you don't care about brain parasites and just drink it without boiling it...it's looking pretty intense, but the season should be good...i'm rooting for rupert and ethan. monday was another murder mystery meeting for the forensics club, and it appears to be coming along quite well...we're working the columbian drug lord angle nicely. so last night we had our first soccer game for indoor downtown...we won 4-0!!! it was a good game :). i somehow got suckered into playing in net yet again, but woo for shutouts! we didn't get home from downtown until about 11:30 last night, so i got home, and studied for the stats test i had this morning...i was up until about 3am studying, and then i woke up around 9am. i skipped my genetics class this morning to study some more...but it turns out the test wasn't so bad! i'm glad it's over :). this afternoon i bought some cd's too...the trews, and a good charlotte cd...good stuff...so now i'm about to go to bed, cuz i gotta go to osteo tomorrow morning :(....<div class="blogger-post-footer"><img width='1' height='1' src='https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/tracker/6005496-107595871150394068?l=monokid.blogspot.com' alt='' /></div>

ok, ok...long time since my last update, but i've been busy! i finally learned to snowboard!!! YAY! it was sooooooo much fun, although i was extremely sore for the whole weekend after...but it was worth it...it was so awesome! i even managed to get off the charlift 3 whole times without falling...i was quite proud. so i got to spend all of friday up at blue mountain snowboarding...the whole day was a write off in terms of getting any work done...we got slightly lost on the drive home...we sort of went in a 2 hour circle...so then we got back and i went out for dinner to swiss chalet :). the whole day ended around 10pm. so there was basically only time for me to go to sleep, and wake up early on saturday morning for my first aid course...it was a long day, but we got a 2 hour lunch cuz the fire alarm went off. saturday night i finally saw pirates of the carribean, which i have wanted to see for a long time...it was such a good movie! johnny depp was amazing in it. as was the monkey, i must say...the monkey wore his pirate outfit very well :). sunday was more first aid fun...another long day, but i passed, so i'm now certified to save lives! i spent sunday night working on my genetics assignment with marla and daniela...we actually did it kinda correctly...oddly enough, we would have gt it more right if we had done less work...oh well, at least it's done...on monday classes got cancelled after 5pm, but of course i have no night classes, so it didn't matter for me...but there was a short power outage on monday afternoon, which wouldn't normally be a big deal, but it screwed me up for tuesday...i normally have class on tuesdays from 10-1...when the power went out on monday, i reset my clock, but not my alarm...so i went to bed on monday night, and woke up at 11:02 on tuesday morning...while i was very well rested, i was also very late for class...and this particular class was one in which we were doing work to be turned in as part of an assignment, so if i missed the class, i wouldn't get those marks...so i hoped against all hope for a snow day, but there wasn't one, so i got dressed super fast and ran out to go to class, but as i left the house, i saw a guy in my class who also lives in my row, shoveling his walk...i asked him if he went to class today, and he said he did, but that the prof left a note saying class was cancelled...wow...i was soooooooo lucky that i didn't actually miss class!!! then on tuesday, class got cancelled after 3pm, which meant i got to miss my genetics tutorial, which kinda sucked, cuz i actually could have used it...oh well. our first soccer game was last night downtown, and that got cancelled, which kinda sucked, but i wouldn't have wanted to drive downtown in that weather anyway, so i guess it all worked out. well, i gotta run, have a meeting then class, then back home to study...yay school...<div class="blogger-post-footer"><img width='1' height='1' src='https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/tracker/6005496-10753258602110346?l=monokid.blogspot.com' alt='' /></div>

so i have stats class in about an hour, and nothing to do, so i figured i'd write in my blog. today was rather uneventful, although i did officially sign up to go snowboarding this friday. in order to go, i'm skipping my second stats quiz in a row (i missed the last one to get my teeth pulled). they only count the best 8 of 9 or something, so missing the first one was fine, but now i'll actually get a zero counted towards my final mark...oh well, at least i get to learn to snowboard! i mean, if it came down to learning stats or learning to snowboard, clearly snowboarding would win...you gotta have priorities in life, right? anyway, it should be a fun day...we're going up to blue mountain...i just hope the weather is nice. my mouth is healing nicely, after having been assaulted friday...the dentist gave me this squirty thing to clean out the caverns...you're supposed to squirt water into the holes left by your teeth, and it will flood all the food chunks out...yummy, huh? oh well, it works, so i'm happy :)...the only downside is that the whole thing is rather high maintenance...so i had a quiz in stats today, and it didn't go too well. see, in stats220 last semester, i never studied for any of the quizzes, and i still did pretty well on all of them...apparently the same theory does not hold for stats221. next week i'll have to actually study for the quiz, and hopefully the result will be more favourable. i found out that our entire soccer season consists of only 5 games!! what's up with that?!? kinda cheap, but what can you do...we have a pretty good team, although i don't know what the other division two teams are like...but still, i think we have a good chance of going pretty far this season. oh ya, my tickets for the barenaked ladies show came in the mail over the weekend! yay!! it should be a good show. last time i went to see them it was awesome! i wish i didn't have to go to class tonight, and that i could just stay home and sleep...oh well, such is life... <div class="blogger-post-footer"><img width='1' height='1' src='https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/tracker/6005496-107472553677331627?l=monokid.blogspot.com' alt='' /></div>

well, it turns out that i had to shell out my $20 to marla...who knew she would ACTUALLY tell brian that he was the hottest guy in her class? i didn't think she would actually do it, but all the power to you marla...i stand corrected, and i am now 20 dollars poorer for it. :) so i got my wisdom teeth pulled on the weekend, and it wasn't bad at all! i even got to keep my teeth :) various people were telling me all these horror stories about getting teeth pulled *cough cough...MARLA...cough cough* but it wasn't bad at all...i was totally asleep for the whole thing, which was good. i got nitrous oxide (laughing gas), and a valium IV, so i was VERY happy...i don't even remember that much about the whole procedure, but here's what i do remember: i got to the dentist's office and i had to wait for a little bit, but then i got taken back into the room...it was totally white...kinda weird. so i lay (lied?) down in the chair, and the nurse strapped the gas thing across my nose. she said most people liked the laughing gas, but some people got nauseous from it...i was one of the majority who liked it :P then i remember the nurse putting the IV in my hand...i didn't really notice it though, cuz i was too drugged up. then the very next thing i remember is the dentist coming in and telling me that when i was asleep he put the freezing stuff in my mouth...i didn't even remember being asleep!!! it was a very weird feeling...anyway, he said that he was gonna give me more valium, and that the next time i woke up, my teeth would be out...lo and behold, the next time i woke up, my wisdom teeth were gone and i was biting down on bloody gauze...i only remember my mom being in the room, and her and the nurse helping me out of the chair, and my mom said that my dad was outside waiting with the car...but apparently, there was about a ten minute conversation prior to that moment that i didn't remember. supposedly, while i was awake, both my parents were in the room and the nurse was giving them the run down on how to take care of my mouth...during this time my parents described me as being "stoned"...rumour has it i was giggling uncontrollably and asking for more laughing gas...these rumours are as yet unsubstantiated. anyway, on the whole, the experience wasn't too bad...the only time my mouth hurt was the day i actually got them pulled. other than that, it was all good...it just feels really weird with 4 fewer teeth in my mouth, but i guess i'll get used to it...well, my weekend pretty much consisted of sleeping and lying on the couch...very uneventful. another school week has begun, so it's back to work...hooray...<div class="blogger-post-footer"><img width='1' height='1' src='https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/tracker/6005496-107454950415297186?l=monokid.blogspot.com' alt='' /></div>

holy crap, there is soooooo much snow outside! i was convinced that classes would have been cancelled tonight, but alas, i still had to go to stats...boo...well anyway, yesterday i found out that i made the division 2 soccer team...yay!!! so i was right, and everyone who thought i would make division 1 was wrong...bahahaha :) it'll be tons of fun though, so i'm really excited...and who knows? we might even win the division! so as a member of the division 2 soccer team, we had our first practice tonight...we only found out about the practice this afternoon, so there were only 6 people there, but it was still really good...it looks like i'll be the goalie for the team again...i was hoping i wouldn't have to play in net, but if no one else will do it, i don't mind...as long as people don't blame me if we lose! :) so practice ended at 6, and i had to trudge home through the snow, shower, eat dinner, and trudge back through the snow to be in stats class at 7...fun times. oh ya, last night i found out that maaike also likes bowser and blue!!! it was a huge moment...cuz everyone else i play it for thinks it's stupid...but they are soooooooo great and so funny!!! it's so nice to finally see someone who can also appreciate the humour :D it turns out we have similar taste in tons of different stuff...like movies -> go labyrinth and monty python & the holy grail!!! we have to have a movie night sometime soon and play all the old classics :) oh ya, i have also decided that i would have been much better off had i majored in logic (philosophy) and math/stats...man, school would be so much better that way...math rules!!! alas, i decided to major in forensics and anthro, so now i have to take all these stupid bio courses....what on earth was i thinking?!? oh well, it's a little late now...but i think it would be cool to get another degree in math...maybe actuarial science...that would be cool :) well, i think that's all i have to say for now...with any luck, tomorrow will be a snow day and i'll be able to sleep in!!!<div class="blogger-post-footer"><img width='1' height='1' src='https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/tracker/6005496-107414318015215386?l=monokid.blogspot.com' alt='' /></div>

ok, ok...so it's been since wednesday, but i still think i'm doing very well compared to my record for 2003!! Anyway, a lot has happened since wednesday night...I had soccer practice thursday night, and finally got to play out, which only made me realize how <em></em>horribly<em></em> out of shape I am...but it was still really fun! Friday morning I had my osteo bell ringer...I was extremely unmotivated to study for it, but it didn't turn out to be so bad, which was nice! we went out to see "house of sand and fog" on friday night...no offense to anyone who saw it and liked it, but i thought it sucked. i didn't even understand the point of it! the only redeeming quality of the movie was ben kingsley...he was awesome. i did learn three things from seeing it though: 1. always open your mail 2. don't fool around with a married psycho guy 3. don't point a gun at a cop, cuz you'll get shot. three important lessons, i think :P. we were going to go for bubble tea after the movie, but the bubble tea place was closed, so we went to demetre's instead, which was awesome! so many names for desserts there could totally be used as porn movie names...i mean, come on...tongue depressor? field of creams?!? anyway, then on saturday i went up to waterloo to visit my friends. i will admit, i did get fairly drunk...we hung out at my friends house for a lot of the night first, then we went over to a bar called phil's...they stamp your hand to get in, and the stamp is still there!!! damn ink won't come off my hand!!! but it was totally worth it cuz i had sooooooo much fun...gotta go up there more often :)...and sunday morning i didn't have a hangover at all! i was very impressed :). then today, i finally got registered in advanced genetics and dropped pathology...the teacher for pathology is crazy! he totally picks on people and puts them on the spot...and if you don't participate every class, you lose marks!!! the prof for advanced genetics is super nice, and the course sounds really cool, so i'm happy. tonight i had my last soccer tryout, and it went fairly well...other people think i'll make division 1, but i'm fairly certain i'll be on division 2...oh well, guess i'll find out tomorrow. well, that's all i have to say, so i'm gonna go to bed now...night!<div class="blogger-post-footer"><img width='1' height='1' src='https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/tracker/6005496-107396975978043287?l=monokid.blogspot.com' alt='' /></div>

two days in a row! i'm actually keeping my resolution up pretty well! so today was generally boring. i studied most of the day for my osteo bell ringer, except for my stats class in the middle of the day. i also had another stats class tonight, right before soccer. unfortunately, i got suckered into playing goalie yet again at soccer...while i did make a wicked save, i'm gonna have tons of bruises tomorrow...oh well, it was definitely worth it :D. i also learned today that i love stats...why didn't i major in math or stats? i mean i like math, and i can actually do it...what on earth am i doing in science? oh well...kinda late to do anything about it now. but my classes this semester are pretty good, so i can't complain. right now i technically should be studying for my osteology bell ringer coming up on friday, but i really don't feel like it, so i'm totally procrastinating. nothing else interesting happened today, but i am slowly beginning to realize that i have to start thinking about what i want to do for the rest of my life...meh, i guess i'll just procrastinate on that too... :)<div class="blogger-post-footer"><img width='1' height='1' src='https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/tracker/6005496-107353500446802640?l=monokid.blogspot.com' alt='' /></div>

wow...my second blog entry in three days...i think it must be some kind of record for me. well, school is back, which means that classes and homework are back...boo. most of my classes this year are pretty good. i'm still taking osteology, which is good. i also have two stats classes (yay math!!! i like math :D), lab methods in biological anthro, which seems cool, and forensic pathology, which i think is going to be very cool. we have to do a seminar in front of the class which kinda scares me, but i think the material in the class will be awesome...what's even scarier is the fact that i am seriously contemplating med school to become a pathologist. i'm glad to be back at school cuz i get to see everyone again! it's awesome. oh ya, and soccer started again tonight...indoor now, since obviously winter weather is not very conducive to outdoor soccer. i'm so happy to be playing again...i think i'm already getting some bruises tho! i have an osteo bell ringer on friday which sucks, but i'm going up to waterloo this weekend, so that's gonna be awesome! some serious bar hopping will be done :D. anyway, i should get back to studying...yay for bones, but boo for school...<div class="blogger-post-footer"><img width='1' height='1' src='https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/tracker/6005496-107345066253552415?l=monokid.blogspot.com' alt='' /></div>

ok...my official new year's resolution is to <em></em>actually<em></em> write in my blog...i know it's hard to believe right now, but i have faith...i think i'll be able to keep it up. so i'm just gonna pretend that this is a fresh start, and that my first couple entries don't even really count... :P so i'm back at school now on sunday night, getting ready for school to start again tomorrow. i don't want the next semester to start...i mean, i don't even know my marks for last semester yet!!! damn u of t...stupid university...so friggin slow at everything...all they do is steal all our money! ok...well now that i'm done venting about that, i had a good vacation...nice and relaxing. i almost went snowboarding, but didn't end up going which upset me, cuz i really wanna learn! oh well...i'll have to go with marla sometime soon :) i went down to buffalo and got wicked clothes...t-shirts for $2 and hoodies for $5!!! it was AWESOME. oh...and i learned something very important: never, ever eat a veggie dog...they are so gross!!! i saw lord of the rings, and it was sooooo good...it didn't even feel that long to me! so now all i have to do is wait till june for the next harry potter movie :) well, my holiday was pretty boring, so i don't know what else to say...school start again tomorrow, which sucks, but soccer also starts this week, which makes me very happy :D...well that's it for now, but i promise more entries soon!<div class="blogger-post-footer"><img width='1' height='1' src='https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/tracker/6005496-107327062608797054?l=monokid.blogspot.com' alt='' /></div>

So it's taken me about a week to put in my second blog entry...i guess i'm not very good at keeping up to date, but oh well. I've got a week to catch up on, so here goes. Last thursday was halloween pub. I got this cheap little devil costume, because i'm on a university student's budget in terms of time and money. It had a tail and a wig with devil horns. I dressed all in red, and put on the tail and the wig...the wig was a total man mullet! it was a total mullet, but it was funny, so it's all good :). So it turns out that on friday, we won the rez wide pumpkin carving contest! I was really surprised, cuz it's one thing to win the row contest against two other houses, but i totally didn't think we would win the rez wide thing. so we got movie gift certificates, which is wicked cuz movies are so friggin expensive now. On sunday I had a soccer game for school...it was the last regular season game, and in order to come in first place in the division, we had to win 8-0...we have a pretty good team, but even that is pushing it. It was pouring rain and REALLY cold for the game, but it was so much fun...i love playing in the rain, cuz it's really good weather to slide tackle in. It turns out we tied 2-2, so we finished in second place in the division, which just means we won't get home field if we get to the finals, so it's not too big of a deal. Now my legs are all bruised and really sore, but it was all worth it cause it was an awesome game! well, i think that about sums up the last few days...hopefully i'll be on the ball more and won't wait another week to post something!<div class="blogger-post-footer"><img width='1' height='1' src='https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/tracker/6005496-106796014360486625?l=monokid.blogspot.com' alt='' /></div>

Well, this is my first official blog entry. My roommate Marla has introduced me to the wonderful world of blogs (one of many things she had introduced me to...neopets and passions are among the others). It doesn't look like anything special right now, but I'm going to try and make it look nice, so bear with me :). Midterms are over, and it's almost Halloween, which means I can spend my time doing <em></em>important<em></em> things like playing neopets and learning about blogs! We carved our pumpkin tonight...well, sorta murdered it (we're all forensics students), but there was some carving involved. Anyway, we won our row pumpkin carving contest, so we get entered in the rez wide contest on friday...it should be cool! Our pumpkin is very multi-faceted...it's got blood, stab wounds, oozing brains, blunt force trauma, chunky jell-o puke, rice maggots, mushroom eyes (Lara did an excellent job on those)...quite a work of art :). We also decorated the front of our house...spider webs, bloody hand prints on the windows, skeletons, etc. And the true piece de resistance was definitely the kick ass caution tape that Rachel found on the way home from class...just sitting in a puddle!! What are the odds that she would find that on the very night we were decorating our door?!? So she put that up across the front of our door...now our house looks like a crime scene...it's very cool :). A piece of advice though: don't every buy a black light from the dollar store! They suck...you may as well be sitting in the dark...Oh well...it was a learning experience. Another house in our row won the door decorating contest...there door was really cool. It was all black and orange with balloons, and a big spider and a ghost...very much in the Halloween spirit :). All in all, it was a really fun night, and the rest of the week is packed with more stuff! Haunted house movie night, halloween pub, trick or treating...it should all be a nice break from stupid school work. Well, I don't really know what else to say, so I'm gonna stop writing and go look for some blog skins to make my blog look better!<div class="blogger-post-footer"><img width='1' height='1' src='https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/tracker/6005496-106740577399428831?l=monokid.blogspot.com' alt='' /></div>
